Dr. Dorota Pomorska-Handwerker is a graduate of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Lublin. After graduation, she worked for eight years as an assistant and then as an assistant professor in the Department of Clinical Diagnostics and Veterinary Dermatology of the Department of Internal Animal Diseases at the University of Life Sciences in Lublin. In 2004, after a one-year internship at the Medical University of Lund (Sweden), she defended her doctoral thesis in allergology. In the same year, she completed the Postgraduate Specialty Course in canine and feline diseases, earning the title of specialist. She is a member of the European Association of Veterinary Dermatologists and a respected expert in dermatology, allergology and endocrinology. From 2003 to 2005, she completed the prestigious specialty course in veterinary dermatology at the European School for Veterinarians ESVAS in Vienna.
Dr. Pomorska-Handwerker actively participates in the education of veterinarians, providing numerous training courses and lectures on dermatology and allergology. For many years she served as chairman of the Section of Veterinary Dermatologists of the Polish Association of Small Animal Veterinarians, and currently remains an active member. She is also a content consultant for the Laboklin veterinary laboratory and a specialist who receives patients from all over Poland.
